Where To Find a Few Free Las Vegas Shows

Las Vegas is an entertainment capital that is known for its shows. There are hundreds of shows in Las Vegas, offered day or night, every day of the week. Of course, many of these shows require tickets and some Las Vegas shows are quite expensive. However, there is no need for the budget conscious traveler to worry. Las Vegas has dozens, if not hundreds, of free shows providing all the entertainment anyone could want.
Some of the free shows in Las Vegas are quite well known while others are not well known. Some free shows are fairly short while others last for more than an hour. These shows cover the spectrum from comedy to circus with lots of variety in between.
The Mirage
The Volcano at the Mirage has been a popular free Las Vegas attraction since 1989. The 54-foot tall volcano turns what is a peaceful waterfall during the day into a magnificent, erupting volcano at night. Once each hour the volcano erupts and blows flames and smoke 100 feet above the top of the volcano.
Magic Shows
The Houdini's Magic Shops, with multiple locations around Las Vegas, sell magic supplies and kits to aspiring magicians. Shop employees are all accomplished magicians and provide free entertainment performing magic tricks with goods that are sold in the Magic Shops.
Treasure Island
The Sirens of Ti is a nightly production performed at the Treasure Island Hotel and Casino. Set in the 17th Century, beautiful sirens lure pirates into Siren's Cove with their song. This free Las Vegas show is performed seven nights each week.
Water Fountain Shows
The Fountains of Bellagio are known for the impressive water and music choreography. The Fountains are on the Las Vegas Strip and use water, light and music to create an interesting entertainment stop. There are a variety of musical genres used for the Fountains display, including classical, opera and Broadway. This free show operates daily.
Bally's Hotel and Casino also has a light, water and sound show. The show runs every 20 minutes beginning at dark. The free show is located at Bally's entrance.
The Fall of Atlantis free fountain show is another popular Las Vegas attraction. The fountain show is integrated with animatronic figures battling over Atlantis. The Fall of Atlantis show is located at Caesar's Palace.
Botanical Art
The Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Garden offers free walk-through tours of the famous botanical gardens. Staffed my more than 100 horticulturists, plants and flowers from around the world are on display for viewers’ enjoyment and interest. The Botanical Garden is open 24 hours a day, seven days each week.
Street Buskers
The Hawaiian Marketplace offers an entertaining introduction to Hawaiian culture. Shoppers can pause from shopping to enjoy free shows, including hula dancers, fire and knife dancers, musicians, and lei makers. The Hawaiian Marketplace is located on Las Vegas Boulevard South.
There are many free Las Vegas shows. While it is certainly easy to spend a lot of money in this entertainment capital there are also many free shows and activities. Be sure to take some time to check out some of the free Las Vegas shows on your next trip.
