Venetian Hotel Review
By: Las Vegas Hotel Sleuth

Where else but Italy can you float down a canal in a gondola, gaze up at fresco-covered arched ceilings, and dine on authentic Italian cuisine—why the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas, of course!
Appearance
Taking the whole idea of a resort up a few notches, the Venetian is more than just a hotel; it’s an experience. This isn’t just a place that looks like Italy—when you’re at the Venetian, you’re transported to the Mediterranean for a once-in-a-lifetime luxury vacation. Lodging at the Venetian is exquisite, and from the Standard Guest Rooms to the highest end of Suites, the resort spares no expense in their quest to make your stay unforgettable.
Not that staying in your room for long is an option—with so much to see and do, you’ll be out exploring in no time!
Shopping & Exploring
Your first stop may be the Grand Canal Shoppes—500,000 square feet of shopping heaven—or, for the more culturally-minded, you can visit the Guggenheim Hermitage Museum. The Venetian is also home to a version of Madame Tussauds famous wax museum, where you can get your picture taken with the inanimate versions of your favorite stars! After a fun day out, you may need to relax, and the best place for that is at the Canyon Ranch SpaClub, the biggest spa in all of Vegas.
Along with its 62 treatment rooms, this mega-spa also offers a 21,000 square foot, state-of-the-art fitness center, a 40-foot rock climbing wall, and a full-service salon.
Entertainment
Once you’re re-invigorated and ready for more, you’ll want to check out some of the top entertainment that the Venetian has to offer. First, the wildly popular Blue Man Group has found a home at the Venetian and wows audiences with their unique show regularly. Also gracing the stage at the Venetian is the critically-acclaimed “Phantom–The Las Vegas Spectacular.”
Other performers currently pleasing audiences at the Venetian include Gordie Brown and Wayne Brady. After the show, grab a drink with your friends and dance the night away at the Tao nightclub.
Dining
The culinary arts have definitely found a home at The Venetian, and between the resort and the Grand Canal Shoppes, every possible taste is accounted for.
Restaurants at the Venetian include: AquaKnox, B&B Ristorante, Bouchon, Canaletto, Canyon Ranch Café, David Burke, Delmonico Steakhouse, Enoteca San Marco, Grand Lux Café, Noodle Asia, Pinot Brasserie, Postrio, Tao Asian Bistro, Taqueria Cañonita, The Grill at Valentino, Tintoretto's, Valentino, Riva Poolside, and Zeffirino. Just like in Italy, you’ll never have to worry about going hungry!
Gambling
The Venetian’s casino is just as glamorous and impressive as every other aspect of this world-class resort, and this 120,000 square foot gaming floor features Blackjack, Craps, Roulette, Baccarat, Keno, and much more. Slots fans can enjoy over 2,500 of your favorite machines, and for the racing fan, wagers can be placed at the 80-seat Race and Sports Book.
Personal & Business Events
Yes, the Wedding Chapel at the Venetian offers a number of wedding ceremony packages. Once you’ve enjoyed all the indulgences the Venetian has to offer, why not share it with your guests the next time you’re planning a convention or event in Vegas?
The meeting accommodations at this hotel are some of the biggest and best in town: 1.9 million square feet total, including the 85,000-square-foot Venetian Ballroom and the 1.2 million-square-foot Sands Expo convention center. Any size group can be taken care of here—just call up the business center and get them to help you work out all the details.
Rates
From the time you arrive at the Venetian and walk into its impeccably recreation of Italy, you realize this is no ordinary resort—this is a hotel like no other. Rooms start at around $329 for a Standard Room, with a variety of room sizes and rates, all the way up to the $700-plus range for a Luxury Suite.
